Senior Technician – Mechanical
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a leading public sector aerospace and defence company under the Government of India, invites applications for the position of Senior Technician (Mechanical) to support maintenance, assembly, and repair of aerospace equipment at its Bengaluru facility. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on mechanical systems including hydraulic assemblies, drive trains, gear boxes, control linkages, and cooling units.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, overhaul components, and perform preventive maintenance following approved SOPs and quality standards.
- Assist engineers and senior technicians in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records.
- Interpret engineering drawings and schematics; use gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to verify tolerances.
- Adhere to safety protocols, 5S housekeeping, and environmental guidelines; participate in internal audit activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential qualifications include a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised board or institute. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, or assembly in industrial or aerospace settings, with working knowledge of hydraulic systems and reading engineering drawings. Knowledge of lubrication practices, fixture setup, and basic machining is advantageous.

Benefits and Compensation
Selected candidates will be placed on HAL pay scales with a gross annual CTC around ₹7,20,000, inclusive of allowances.
