Infosys Limited, a global leader in consulting, technology and next generation services, invites applications for a Data Engineer to join its cloud data platform team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This is a full time role designed for professionals who enjoy building scalable data pipelines and enabling data driven decisions across business units.
In this role you will partner with data scientists and analytics teams to design and implement robust data ingestion, transformation and storage processes. You will work with large volumes of structured and semi structured data, ensure data quality, implement data governance and security controls, and help translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain end to end data pipelines using Python and Spark on cloud platforms
- Build reliable data models and schemas that support analytics, reporting and ML workloads
- Collaborate with data engineers, data architects and analytics teams to define data requirements and metadata management
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring and alerting; ensure data lineage and auditability
- Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance and cost, implement CI/CD for data pipelines
- Participate in on call rotation and incident response for data platform services
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or a related field; masters preferred
- 5 to 7 years of hands on experience in data engineering, data warehousing or big data projects
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Apache Spark or Hadoop ecosystem
- Hands on experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS or GCP; knowledge of data lakehouse concepts
- Experience with Airflow or similar workflow orchestrators; familiarity with CI/CD and version control
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a global delivery model
