Infosys Limited has an opening for a Software Engineer – Backend based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This is a full time role designed for developers who enjoy solving complex problems and building robust, scalable backend systems. You will work as part of an agile squad that delivers enterprise grade software powering multiple industry verticals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot; implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, data engineers, and frontend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and contribute to continuous improvement of software quality.
- Design data models and optimize database queries; work with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Adopt security best practices and ensure compliance with enterprise grade standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of hands on backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservice design, and scalable architectures.
- Experience with SQL databases and query optimization; familiarity with Oracle or PostgreSQL preferred.
- Experience with Linux, version control with Git, and modern development workflows; exposure to Agile methodologies.
