Senior Software Engineer – Java Backend

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
Build and optimize RESTful APIs, ensure data integrity, and implement efficient data access patterns with SQL.
Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
Architect microservices, define service boundaries, and contribute to API contracts and governance.
Participate in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment to cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform performance tuning, and implement monitoring/observability best practices.
Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices across the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (BE/BTech).
3-5 years of hands-on software development experience in Java backend systems.
Strong knowledge of Java 8+ and Spring Framework, with experience in building RESTful services.
Proficiency with relational databases and SQL; experience with Hibernate or JPA is preferred.
Experience with microservices architecture, containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; understanding of cloud-native patterns.
Good understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative working across distributed teams.
