Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, this full-time role offers an opportunity to work on scalable platforms used by millions of users and businesses worldwide. As a member of the backend engineering team, you will design, implement and operate services that power critical business workflows, data processing pipelines, and customer experiences across cloud-native environments.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust software, developing APIs, building microservices with Java and Spring Boot, writing clean and efficient code, and participating in code reviews and design discussions. You will work with modern development practices such as Agile, CI/CD, test-driven development, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability, reliability and security.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with databases, message queues and external systems.
- Collaborate with front-end teams, data teams and cloud engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Write automated unit, integration and performance tests; participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, microservice decomposition and service monitoring.
- Follow DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization and cloud deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of software development experience with backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot and REST APIs; experience with microservices architecture.
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases, data modeling and query optimization.
- Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies and DevOps tooling like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.
