Assistant Manager (Electrical)

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited HAL invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager Electrical at its Bengaluru facility. The successful candidate will help design, test, and sustain critical electrical systems for aircraft platforms, support ground equipment, and coordinate with cross functional teams across HAL divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical systems design, review drawings, and ensure compliance with IS and IEC standards.
  • Plan and oversee commissioning, testing, and integration of electrical systems on projects.
  • Develop project schedules, monitor budgets, and manage risk mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, aerodynamics, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Mentor junior engineers, review technical deliverables, and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: BE or BTech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university; or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with substantial relevant experience.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in electrical equipment design, maintenance, and project management in a PSU or large manufacturing environment.

Skills

Proficiency in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP, strong understanding of protection schemes, switchgear operation, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, documentation, and vendor coordination skills.
