About Infosys and the Role
Infosys invites applications for a Software Engineer – Backend (Java) to join our Bengaluru delivery center. This is a full-time, onsite role that offers exposure to large-scale enterprise applications, distributed systems, and cloud-native services. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to translate requirements into clean code.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, performance optimizations, and code reviews.
- Write unit and integration tests; participate in automated testing and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies; provide accurate estimates and deliver on commitments.
- Monitor systems, debug production issues, and implement improvements.
- Document technical designs for knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Java and backend frameworks. Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices patterns. Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tooling. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
