Infosys Limited is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Bengaluru-based engineering hub. This is a hands-on role focused on building scalable Java microservices and cloud-enabled solutions for enterprise clients. The successful candidate will work within cross-functional squads using agile methods to deliver robust, production-grade software. Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This position follows a hybrid work model with on-site collaboration at our Electronic City campus and optional remote work as project needs permit.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, perform automated testing, and ensure code quality through reviews
- Participate in performance tuning, security hardening, and incident response activities
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred
- 5–8 years of hands-on software development experience in Java
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and modern API design
- Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), messaging (Kafka), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Cloud exposure (AWS or Azure), familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in global, distributed teams
