Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Backend
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Infosys Limited invites applications for a backend-focused software engineer to join our Bengaluru delivery team. The selected candidate will contribute to building scalable, resilient, and secure backend services that power large-scale customer platforms. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with product managers, front-end developers, and cloud engineers to deliver high-quality software on time.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
- Instrument performance improvements, optimize queries, and ensure system reliability and security.
- Participate in architectural discussions, assess trade-offs, and contribute to roadmap planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
- Adopt and promote cloud-native patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design.
- Experience with microservices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), data modeling, and query optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control, and modern software development practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
